The Challenge.
A healthcare portal has to serve people in very different states of mind — someone calmly checking a result and someone anxious and in a hurry can land on the same screen. The existing structure didn't make that easy, and important information was buried beneath navigation that assumed familiarity.
Clarity here is not cosmetic. When the content is health-related, confusion carries real weight, so the challenge was to organise a great deal of sensitive material in a way that feels calm, findable, and trustworthy rather than overwhelming.
The Solution.
The work began with information architecture: grouping content around what people actually come to do, naming things plainly, and shaping navigation so the common journeys are short and obvious. Structure was decided before any styling.
On top of that skeleton, the interface kept a quiet, unhurried tone — generous spacing, clear hierarchy, and a steady layout that holds up across the portal. The aim throughout was to let people find what they need without having to learn the system first.
