In short: there is almost nothing to write here.
This site does not track you. There is no analytics script, no remarketing pixel, no advertising network, no third-party tag manager.
What is stored, and where
- Your theme choice (light or dark) — in
localStorageunderim-theme. Never leaves your browser. - Your replies on the /conversation page — in
im-conversation-v2. So you can come back to the diagnostic without starting over. Never leaves your browser. - Your symptom-card selection on / — in
im-intro-v1. Same reason. Same scope. - Saved articles — in
im-saved-articles. So your bookmarks survive a refresh. Same scope.
You can clear any of these any time by clearing your browser's site data for ionutmaxim.com, or in the case of the conversation and intro pages by tapping the "Reset" link inside each.
What about the YouTube embeds?
The /intro page has a small video card. The iframe loads from youtube-nocookie.com, which does not set cookies until you actually press play. If you press play, YouTube's normal privacy policy applies for that session.
If you email me
I keep your message and any thread that follows. I do not put your name, email or anything you tell me on a mailing list, share it with anyone, or use it for any purpose other than the conversation we are having. If you would like me to delete an email thread, ask and it is done.
If you subscribe to Field Notes
Your email goes to a single email service provider (named in the colophon when it is wired). I use it only to send the fortnightly note. Unsubscribe is one click in any email and it works the first time.
